Phantom Brave, Nippon Ichi’s New Project 12/21/2008
It was almost confirmed that Nippon Ichi would make a game on Wii and we all thought it has to be Disgaea or rather an upgraded version of Disgaea 2. However, it turned out that Ichi’s first project would be Phantom Brave, a port PS2 title. The port will have few changes and improvements although the official site doesn’t have much in detail as of now. The game will be released in Japan on March 12th. Wii celebrated as being the top most selling console in US in the month of October, the figure coming to 800,000 systems. In the very next month, November, Nintendo sold 2.04 million Wii systems which is a record. This shoot in sale was probably due to Black Friday and meeting the adequate number of stock. Sega and Platinum Games’ MadWorld’s official site has been launched and is active. The visuals of the site as decided early are in black and white. Twenty employees of Monster Games, a video game company founded 13 years ago by Richard Gracia are working on a secret top-secret video game for Nintendo. These were the people who were behind the famous Nintendo Wii game, Excite Truck and made the company win Yahoo’s “Best Racing Game of 2006”. Since then, for past two years, they have been working on this secret game. The items that had been added to the European Stars Catalogue included the golden statue of Link and Epona continued to stay in the second week also. European gamers can now have the privilege to buy the Gold Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack disc for 3,850 points and the Platinum disc of the same for 4,850 points. These discs were earlier exclusively for Japanese Club Nintendo. This Gold edition has 28 tracks and the Platinum set of two discs contains 81 tracks. Hudson’s WiiWare game for North America, Pit Crew Panic has almost all the items in a shocking state of disrepair. The items are in a mess covered in mud, thick layer of dirt, dented, cracked and even disfigured cartoon faced graffiti. The condition clearly resembles their Panic situation as suggested in the title and the objects when in the present dirty look resemble the Alien Crush Returns textures. When Nintendo’s newest Wii branded game was launched, they had hoped it would have a roaring sale. However, when the game released last month, the first month sales fell far short of the mark set by May’s Wii Fit in its first month. Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo’s executive Vice President revealed that the game did somewhere like 65 or 66,000 in its first two weeks of sale as compared to Wii Fit which sold more than 687,000 copies in its first month of sale. |
