Mario and Sonic are coming together in the officially licensed Olympic-themed smash hit Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. It takes the players to the host city of the official 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Vancouver, Canada. The gaming experience invites players of all ages to participate in some of the most intense winter competitions available fro Nintendo platform.

Both Nintendo DS and Wii gamers will have a unique experience playing on each platform having its own specific gameplay features and modes. Players of all skill levels will enjoy both the Wii and Nintendo DS controls, in both single and multiplayer gaming modes. One of the new features found in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is the inclusion of the Wii Balance Board which can be used in some events in the Wii version of the game providing more interaction and a realistic gaming experience.
