Some mastermind at developer Rocket Company came up with the ingenious idea to create a title that would run in direct competition with the upcoming Wii Fit.  The only snag was that Wii Exercise was not going to launch with an alternative to Wii Fit's Balance Board, essentially handing the battle over to Wii Fit.  Then Rocket actually got smart.

Wii Exercise will now use Wii Fit's Balance Board as part of its exercise routines that will include sit-ups, push-ups, aerobics and boxing.  It's a better move overall for the company and their product, but one has to wonder if it will be enough.  With Nintendo putting a massive marketing push behind Wii Fit, it's unclear whether gamers are going to be willing to buy Wii Fit AND its competitor.
