It looks like there is a new buzz in Japan around the Wii Fit. Nintendo Wii had been doing well since the launch buy the last few months saw the console sales slowing down. The PS3 was actually outselling the Nintendo Wii in Japan for a couple of weeks. The situation has completely changed with the release of the Wii Fit. If you don't know, Manhunt 2 has been under a ton of controversy lately. The ESRB is the board that gives games the ratings to make sure kids don't buy violent games. The UK has a similar service called the BBFC. The only problem is that the BBFC has still not approved Manhunt 2 for sale. Nintendo Wii Zapper is Released 11/21/2007
The Nintendo Wii Zapper has finally been released. It is basically a plastic contraption that holds the Wii remote and the nunchuk in a way that makes it look like a gun. The Wii Zapper comes with Link's Crossbow training which stars Link where he shoots down villains in numerous mini games. If you haven't already noticed, Black Friday is here which means there are a million good deals coming. One of these deals is Super Mario Galaxy which just recently sold 500k in the first week. It seems like Super Mario Galaxy has completely redeemed itself because it has now sold over 500k in the 1st for the US. This is a far larger number than the 130K for the Japanese 1st week. The US is much larger, but they are still impressive figures. It is likely Super Mario Galaxy will continue selling like hotcakes throughout the holidays. |
