Due to the Christmas week, there were no retail releases last week. However, there were some new releases on the Wii and the Virtual Console. The new Wiiware releases were Tiki Towers by Real Arcade, which is a comic mischief, played by 1-2 players and worth 500 Wii points. It is a game of construction, destruction, problem-solving and monkeys. The next game was Fun! Fun! Minigolf by Shin’en Multimedia, for 1-4 players, worth 900 Wii points. The boxart of Tenchu 4 or better known as Tenchu: Shadow Assassins posted on the official site of Ubisoft has undergone change. The retailer of the game Game Crazy is displaying a different box art along with the change of image on the official site. It was almost confirmed that Nippon Ichi would make a game on Wii and we all thought it has to be Disgaea or rather an upgraded version of Disgaea 2. However, it turned out that Ichi’s first project would be Phantom Brave, a port PS2 title. The port will have few changes and improvements although the official site doesn’t have much in detail as of now. The game will be released in Japan on March 12th. Wii celebrated as being the top most selling console in US in the month of October, the figure coming to 800,000 systems. In the very next month, November, Nintendo sold 2.04 million Wii systems which is a record. This shoot in sale was probably due to Black Friday and meeting the adequate number of stock.
