When Nintendo’s newest Wii branded game was launched, they had hoped it would have a roaring sale. However, when the game released last month, the first month sales fell far short of the mark set by May’s Wii Fit in its first month. Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo’s executive Vice President revealed that the game did somewhere like 65 or 66,000 in its first two weeks of sale as compared to Wii Fit which sold more than 687,000 copies in its first month of sale.

Still Nintendo did not panic with this summary. Dunaway thinks that even titles like Brain Age did the same thing in the first few weeks when it sold just 2.5 million copies. Wii Fit certainly had a larger launch than that but people are trying to understand Wii music.

According to the NPD Group Data, the latest Guitar Hero was not in October’s ten best sellers. But, it did solid sales and especially on the Wii than on any other system and that MTV has updated that their figures were inaccurate. So, those of you who have been excitedly waiting for World Tour to release grab it if you have not done it yet and enjoy!

Aksys again came up with a new game with family sports title for WiiWare, Okiraku Air Hockey in North America as Family Glide Hockey. The earlier game was also a family title; Family Table Tennis with 500 Wii points had a strong game play component. It had some casual minigames and a brisk single player campaign.

Coming back to Family Glide Hockey, it’s a fun and cheap version of air hockey which happens to be the world’s most wonderful things. The game has many delightful arcade attraction including ridiculous locations, weird tables, special shots and extra minigames like Glide Hockey Drill. The release of this game as Aksys says this holiday is still uncertain even if the date is specified because Nintendo doesn’t like people to know when their games will be out.

There was no publisher for No More Heroes until Ubisoft picked it up as Japanese publisher Marvelous Entertainment didn’t have an American branch at that time. Since then, the Marvelous director Yasuhiro Wada made a multi game agreement with XSEED. This leads us to assume that XSEED would handle the distribution of No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle when that title is released in early 2010.

However, we got news through our internal sources that the XSEED partnership may not extend to Desperate Struggle as Ubisoft has its own terms for distribution of the game. The voice work of the original game is in English and it doesn’t matter who publishes the game till the time the original piece of work is retained. This arrangement might work as Ubisoft is capable of getting more copies in more stores.
